RockStar Table Tennis
Minimum Players 1 Maximum Players 2 (You would think 4 – perhaps once you complete it or something…)
Type of Player To Accommodate: Repetitive Sport Stars
Many of you Dual Console owners like myself will have experienced this game last year on the Xbox. It was a bit more thought – because different buttons done the different spins – and you had to think of the counter-spin to get the un-returnable return (if that makes sense)
But with the Wii – it uses the Directional pad (very clever)
The only drawback is that the Xbox version allows you to power up shots by holding the button early and planting your feet. But the Wii version doesn’t really allow it. It does somehow do it – but how I don’t know. I experimented loads – like doing the backswing motion slowly and almost mimicking the player… None of it worked.
But saying that – it’s a hell of a lot easier! Player vs. player on the 360 resulted in a maximum of 15 on the rally’o’meter (its not called that – I think it sounds cool’er)
But on the Wii – its pretty hard to miss – so you get massive rallies. The music gets pumped the higher the rally gets – so you really get into it. The only way to miss is poor timing, the un-returnable return (see above) or if the other person tries doing something cheeky to ‘mix-it-up-a-little’… and fails.
But loads of fun regardless. Computer is really good too – so you get some good rallies too… All in all – it’s a good punt for less then a score.
