Well – there’s not much to say. The Karaoke mode thing (Called Party I believe) is pretty cool – the lyrics come up and you score better points for hitting the notes… very cleverly done.
The ‘Dancing’ mode is the most stupid’est thing I’ve ever seen. Shake the remote to the music – but don’t do the same motion too much or you lose points – Oh My God! That lame!
It’s a ridiculous disc space filler – and I think the only good thing that came out of it was scoring the bonus points which unlocked some of the locked Karaoke songs.
But if you just turn the Party/Karaoke mode on – select a character (ill explain the rather silly Character thing later) but turn it on – and leave it. Let people do songs – then when they finish select ‘Select a New Song’ and away you go – Karaoke machine!
Now – Characters… There is 6 or something Characters – you have to complete the ‘Story Mode’ (do a song, do a dance, do a song – you get the picture) and unlock special songs for that character. Now they have made these 6 characters interlinked for no reason - they could have made the game indefinite and made 100 characters. The story mode is silly – they should just have challenges, or unlock modes or something. But these silly characters do start to grate on you… Unfortunately.
But please see prior point. Turn it on – Karaoke mode – leave machine – let people enjoy. Top quality karaoke – rubbish RPG/Adventure Game though.
Worth a purchase for a decent portable karaoke function
