[Wii] TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

TMNT – (or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

Maximum 1 Player – Minimum 1 Player (Thats right – only 1 Player?!?)

Type of Player To Accommodate: 3rdPerson/Button-Bash

Now, I’m old enough to have played the original NES Version of this game o’ so many years ago. Now bringing it out on a newer system would have thought to have brought me to my knees in anticipation. It did. The thoughts of taking the lead as Leonardo was amazing. Thinking that a few nunchuk swings and id feel like a proper Shogun warrior was enough to make me pre-order this release…

However – this game requires NO wii moving action. To swing your sword you simply mash the A button. No nunchuk swinging involved. Worse off – its ONLY one player. The original was 4 player – the Wii accepts 4 remotes – yet this dog turd of a game is 1 player. Very handy when you have Shredders army descending on you and only a very soar thumb from ‘A button smushing’ to defend yourself!

The camera angles are silly and the use of ‘turtle force’ or whatever lame name they came up with for essentially a rage meter makes the game terribly difficult to get good at!

The seemingly threw in the ability to use kicks and punches as an after thought – as using your Sword/Sai etc is so astronomical in damage compared to the ‘love tap’ that a kick dished out. Its almost like they had a couple of spare buttons not doing anything and decided to assign them to ‘lame attack’ mode.

  1. How True! I cant beleive it wasnt 4 player, they should have taken notice of the original games success (people still play it on Xbox Live Arcade!)
