I’m religiously Anti-Sport games – this is more action, fun and tactics then anything else. Two teams of 4 players (so it can be you controlling a team against another – or get 4 mates round – and you make up the entire team!) fight it out in a small pitch to hammer the other team in the most unorthodox style of football. You choose you team players – for either their offensive, defensive or ‘special’ abilities. And the game consists of smushing each other into walls, throwing bombs, rockets and other ‘old skool’ Mario Style equipment (like the ‘Troopers’ axe throwing) at the other team trying to dispossess them of the ball. 

Each team as a ‘star’ player – i.e. Mario himself, Mario, Waluigi, Wario, Princess Peach etc – and they have ‘mega’ moves which can be used to score 3-5 goals in one shot! So there’s lots of fast paced action to have here – and if spent a long time on – can get really good. There’s exhibition modes for a laugh – or you can play tournaments and unlock new pitches. I played for about 5 hours solid with a friend of the family (he’s 34!) and him and I – controlling one team together – played through all the tournaments and had a right laugh. The computer auto-controls its difficulty – (if you’re rubbish – they’ll be rubbish) so fear getting good because they can really ‘pants’ you when they want to!
